| Equine Aromatics and Kinesiology
25th July 2009
| An interactive workshop with Sandra Reeves
| Venue: Near Exeter, Devon
Time: 0930 - 1630 hoursCost: £75 (inc. VAT)
Even a glance, chewing or licking is a sign from your horse that he is trying to tell you something. If you ignore this, he will try harder to communicate - this could eventually lead to serious behavioural problems such as biting, kicking, rearing and napping. This workshop will introduce you to a new deeper understanding of your horse's psychological and physioogical needs. You will be introduced to the art of kinesiology (muscle testing) and how this may be used to test for allergies, food intolerances, etc. Please bring a sample of your animal's hair for testing on the day. Please get in touch with Julie Boxall at ICAT 01626 852485 / 07977 359347
| K9 KINETICS
Various dates throughout the year
| An interesting and revealing look at Dog Dynamics.
| This one day workshop studies the bio-mechanics of the dog. The morning will consist of theory covering the canine skeleton and joints, the main muscles involved in propulsion of the dog and some common locomotive disorders including cruciate repair and hip dysplasia. We also look at dog structure (conformation) and how this affects a dogs movement. Participants are invited to bring their own dogs along for an evaluation as part of the class programme. In the afternoon the dogs are put through their paces over a specially designed course which provides a clearly visible way of assessing range of movement. We also discuss proprioception (body awareness) and how K9 Kinetics can assist both old and young dogs with balance issues. A progressive joint mobility programme can be tailored to suit individual dogs needs.
| Host venues required for K9 Kinetics
The above workshop is a must for all dog enthusiasts; learn how your pet moves, which muscles are weak or over developed, how you can maintain your dogs mobility in later life, assist your pet to recover from orthopaedic proceedures, aid his concentration and build trust into your relationship. If you think your Club members would like to host a workshop, please get in touch with Julie Boxall at ICAT 01626 852485 / 07977 359347
